Both 2-Hour Dungeon Crawl and Warrior Heroes (perhaps also including the Tales of Talomir series) are based on the same core set of mechanics. But to what extent are they compatible (if so, can they be combined in some way?), or are they just two different games?

The nice thing about THW game mechanics is they can be tweaked to fit based on your preferences. You could choose to use the old school shooting method and the current melee method. You can pick and choose as needed or play straight as written. And you can always use the scenarios found in the books with whichever game mechanics you use.

Great to know that. I saw your video about the 2HDC board game version (beautiful components by the way). I've got the print version of WHAT and I wonder in what way the dungeon cards in 2DHC differ from those in WHAT.

Oh, WHAT Deck is much better for generating and exploring the Dungeon. They add more cards, better artwork, less rolling on tables to generate opponents. 2HDC does have Treasure Cards and Character Cards and again, they are compatible.
