Thanks to Ed for giving us the possibility have the space to upload our Homebrew Rules. Here is mine:
I wanted to share to everyone something that was on my mind for quite a while. I find Nuts! an amazing game and a blessing in these times (being able to play solo) but there was something kind of bothering me about Prone being only useful to make yourself or the enemy harder to hit but gives no advantages (or actually no disadvantages) while firing, so, being inspired from all of you guys and girls, who post your own rules, i decided to create and upload my own Ranged Combat Table which deals with this "issue". I wanted:
so i added 4 more "SHOOTER MISSED IF" Conditions to the Ranged Combat Table and changed the categories of the weapons (the wording could be better as i am not native speaker nor a gun expert).
I assumed Eds numbers are if the weapons were being used at it most effective way so i decided to go with the penalty route instead of the bonus one. There are 4 Categories:
Basically every weapon in the category "small arms" (i know Rifles and LMGs are also considered in real life small arms but i did not want to change too much stuffs) don´t have any penalties while firing (so pistols, shotguns and medium cal SMGs) because of the lesser recoil. The "Assault Weapons" (Rifles, Carbines and high Cal SMGs) have a penalty if they are not fired while Prone or in Cover (resting the weapon against the cover) or if they are fired after moving (and not got into cover/prone) and the target is too far away. LMGs and ATR suffer the largest penalty also while not being fired while Prone/In Cover and also if they are fired after moving (and not got into cover/prone) and the target is too far away.
I hope you guys enjoy it and im looking forward for some feedback (also bear in mind i have absolutely no idea how to make rules for a TT game).
Feel free to use it as you please!
Hello everyone!,
I wanted to share to everyone something that was on my mind for quite a while. I wanted:
- To give a bit of tactical flavor for different weapons
- To deal with the "issue" that "high" caliber - high RoF weapons can be fired while standing and be as accurate as some with a not so "high" caliber or low RoF.
so i added 4 more "SHOOTER MISSED IF" Conditions to the Ranged Combat Table and changed the categories of the weapons (the wording could be better as i am not native speaker nor a gun expert).
I assumed Eds numbers are if the weapons were being used at it most effective way so i decided to go with the penalty route instead of the bonus one. There are 4 Categories:
- Small Arms (Pistols, medium Cal SMGs, Shotguns)
- Assault Weapons (SMGs, Rifles and Carbines)
- Machine Guns (all MGs)
- Anti Tank Rifles (all ATR)
Basically every weapon in the category "small arms" (i know Rifles and LMGs are also considered in real life small arms but i did not want to change too much stuffs) don´t have any penalties while firing (so pistols, shotguns and medium cal SMGs) because of the lesser recoil.
