Hello I am new to this game having just bought it not long ago and have some questions regarding rules.
1) Hit location. I am assuming the attacker rolls 2d6 and adds them together for location but I do not believe this is clearly stated in the rules. 2) Advantages of Dimachaerus fighting style? does he attack twice to reflect both of his weapons or should I treat his second weapon as just a two-handed attack and roll 2d6 for weapon modifier on attack table? or does it not provide anymore additional advantages beyond acting as a small shield. 3) What is the advantage of choosing to attack the defenders unshielded side on the maneuver table? Basically what should be done when an attacker chooses this option? 4) On the attack table when a defender steps aside and the attacker is forced into the adjacent movement zone directly behind the defender is the attacker now rear facing and subject to that kind of attack? If yes, what other ways would a gladiator become rear facing for a rear attack?
I'm sorry if these questions are easily found in the rulebook but I have read it so many times the words are kinda running together now. Any help at all with these questions would be much appreciated. Thanks

Hello I am new to this game having just bought it not long ago and have some questions regarding rules. Here goes, slipped answers into your questions.1) Hit location. I am assuming the attacker rolls 2d6 and adds them together for location but I do not believe this is clearly stated in the rules. You are correct, 2d6. Page 41. Look on the Hit Location Table. The 2 signifies roll 2d6. and it then says add results together.2) Advantages of Dimachaerus fighting style? On the Attack Table, +1 success for a Sword so 2 Swords is 2 successes. does he attack twice to reflect both of his weapons or should I treat his second weapon as just a two-handed attack and roll 2d6 for weapon modifier on attack table? or does it not provide anymore additional advantages beyond acting as a small shield. 3) What is the advantage of choosing to attack the defenders unshielded side on the maneuver table? Page 42, Damage Table check the unshielded side column to see the benefits. No chance of the gladiator being undamaged like the 4 and 5 on the Shield column. Basically what should be done when an attacker chooses this option? Go to Attack table and if you win, go to the unshielded damage column.4) On the attack table when a defender steps aside and the attacker is forced into the adjacent movement zone directly behind the defender is the attacker now rear facing and subject to that kind of attack? He counts as unshielded to the defender's attack as he goes by. If yes, what other ways would a gladiator become rear facing for a rear attack? Check Maneuver and Attack Tables for penalties for being attacked to rear. No speed, no reach. I'm sorry if these questions are easily found in the rulebook but I have read it so many times the words are kinda running together now. Any help at all with these questions would be much appreciated. Thanks No worries, that's what I'm here for. Hope this helps.

Awesome! Thank you so much for these answers. They have helped immensely. Through continued play I have come across a couple more questions or just clarification if you don't mind my asking.
1) You stated Dimachaerus have an added +1 success on the attack table but do they also roll an aditional 1d6 on the damage table or does the "offhand" component negate this? 2) When asked to retake rolls, do you re-roll all bonus dice used as well? I assume yes but just want to be sure of it. 3) The brawler signature allows the gladiator to add 1d6 when retakeing rolls. Does this bonus stack if asked to retake multiple times back to back or is it a flat only 1d6 no matter how many retakes in the same phase?
Thank you again for the already answered questions and any answers on these would be much appreciated as well.

Awesome! Thank you so much for these answers. They have helped immensely. Through continued play I have come across a couple more questions or just clarification if you don't mind my asking. Here goes.1) You stated Dimachaerus have an added +1 success on the attack table but do they also roll an aditional 1d6 on the damage table or does the "offhand" component negate this? Yes, off hand negates it as it's assumed only one blow is landed..2) When asked to retake rolls, do you re-roll all bonus dice used as well? I assume yes but just want to be sure of it. No, Bonus dice are rolled once. That's what makes this interesting. 3) The brawler signature allows the gladiator to add 1d6 when retakeing rolls. Does this bonus stack if asked to retake multiple times back to back or is it a flat only 1d6 no matter how many retakes in the same phase? Multiple times.Thank you again for the already answered questions and any answers on these would be much appreciated as well. No worries, it's what I do, so ask away.
