There are 30 documented aliens in the 5150 Universe. We have them listed here with Skill modifiers. Check it out? Alien Skills 01252020.pdf (184.82 KB) What's a Mongrat?

This is awesome, Ed - thanks for providing it! It is cool to see all of the races brought together in one place (must have made you proud to see your empire!) Also, seeing this has me hoping for a 5150 source book in the future

> "You want Skills? We got Skills. You want Aliens? We go Aliens – 29 of them and counting"
I think you want "We got Aliens" in that first paragraph.

So can somebody tell me how Hishens, Razors, and GRATHS (FPS!) got "Trusted Alien" status? What paper-pushing seat-warmer in the Gaea Prime bureaucracy signed off on those authorizations? And how much juice did said bureaucrat get in return?
From 5150 No Limits, page 11:
"They (Grath) are illegal within Gaea Prime space, the first three Rings."

Mongrats are a race of [CENSORED]
I actually have an answer, but it occurred to me after writing it out that that may have been a rhetorical question.

How likely is one to find any of these 30 aliens in Rings 1-3, Rings 4-6, and Rings 7-9? I have the Whose Planet? table from Maiden Voyage but clearly there are at lot more alien species in play then I had realized when I first became familiar with 5150.

Depends on your specific setting. There's always a chance to run across most of them in the form of trade missions, religious missions (possibly disguising criminal enterprises), political visits, espionage, or legit business enterprises. But that also depends on your character's place in the universe. The rough and tumble sort from the slums probably won't just happen to bump into a few alien millionaire businessmen (business-beings?). I usually let the dice decide who I meet then try to come up with a narrative to explain why they got into the situation.

This is what I’m looking for - is there a table already existing in another 5150 product that I don’t own that would tell me if I run into one of these aliens? Most of these aliens don’t appear in any of the tables I have across 4 5150 No Limits titles. If not I’ll just make something up but I was curious if there was a bit more background somewhere as to what Rings they might call “home” or maybe some are extinct in the timeline I’m playing in.

The Circles tables in NHCPI cover 13 of the 20 Trusted Aliens that one would likely encounter in New Hope City. The Circles tables provide the likelihood of each alien being a member of each profession. Of course, that's just for New Hope City. On a different settlement, YMMV. The Galaxy Map shows the home region of many of the aliens. With that information, you could adjust the likelihood of meeting a particular alien. For example, the Cephalods are indigenous to Rings 6, 7, and 8, so you might be less likely to meet one on a Ring 1 planet than in New Hope City.
