Hello everybody,
Here I am trying to play my umpteenth THW campaign. This time the idea is to play Road to Ekra. I am going to play it using Roll20 webpage, since I don't have all the needed miniatures.
Here is the first Chapter: Crossing the Border. Slorm and Samuel decided to try their luck in Ekra tournaments, so they went into Ekra kingdom. The scenario had 3 PEFs and was develop in the road to Ekra. The first to PEFs were discovered as townfolks who where talking about the tournaments and chores. But, the last one was a group of bandits, who tried to assault our heroes. I tried to Distant shores rules, but it was catastrophic, Slorm charged against the bandit leader, and he get two success against two Slorm's fails, so Slorm resulted died. As I was not happy with that, I replayed this encounter with Warrior Heroes Legend, and the result was more in line with expectations.
Slorm and Samuel knocked the leader and a henchman, and the other bandits decided to flee.
Here are some photos of the action.
Initial deployment:
First Encounter:
Second Encounter:
Third encounter: The bandits appear. The leader is the one with the fist icon.

Here is the Second Chapter: The Night Before
Slorm and simon decided to drink some ale and hire some help in a near tavern.
There they found three interesting groups of people who could be hired....
The first PEF were a nobleman and his bodyguards. The conversation was very cold, and they couldn't get info.
The second PEF were a group of soldiers, who were drunk, so suddenly started a row.
After some rounds of punchs and kicks, two of the soldiers fell knocked, and the other soldiers flee looking for more help.
The barman come around and after talking with Slorm decided to guide them to the back exit.
While our heroes passed by the nobleman, one of the servants spit on the floor, but Slorm held to Simon, and the exited by the back door.
Our heroes continue their travel alone. The next chapter was going to be a robbery, but taking into account the fight with the guards, I prefer to play another enconunter with a patrol, to follow a more realistic argument of the history.

I assume that Slorm is Rep 5 - he's a Star. So the probability of the result you describe is 2% or 1 chance in 50. That's bad luck. Then, of course, you immediately rolled Slorm's Star Power dice (Talomir - Distant Shores, page 2). Rolling 5 dice and getting no roll less than a 4 is about a 3% probability. So the probability that Slorm dies and stays dead is 0.06% or roughly 1 chance in 2000. That's really, really bad luck! But, if your luck was that bad, the result itself was reasonable. Rather than fault the Talomir system, I'd suggest you get some new dice. Those bones have bad karma!

Yes bigwalleye, I could use that rule, but I love to roll a lot of dice because that way you avoid the ramdonnes of just rolling one or two dice. However, the new system is great to introduce somebody in wargaming.

Yep, it's all about playing the way you want. Prefer quick and to the point. Get it? Point, sword, point.

However, the new system is great to introduce somebody in wargaming. Yes, and it's also a great way to get the result of a combat quickly so you can move on with the story. Since I played my first wargame in 1962, I have rolled enough dice that the thrill is just gone. YMMV.

And the third chapter, Robbery! After drinking something in other taverns, our heroes head to their inn, but a patrolling group of guardians want to revenge the row in the tavern...
After a pair of rounds of fighting, the heroes win. To new victims on their backs...

Love the use of the graphics! Thanks, I am very happy with the results, I am saving a lot of space, and money since I don't have all the neccessary miniatures to play all the scenarios.

Are you using still using the melee rules from Warrior Heroes Legends?
WHL is a great rule book if you want to play fantasy adventure games with more detail.

First Tournament, Shelot. This time I played it like a roll and write game, without miniatures. I rolled for 7 enemies, the most were Rep 4, with one Rep 5 and two Rep 3. The combats showed that Rep 5 fighters are much more powerful than Rep 4. I am not sure about when to stop the melee combats, so at the end I decided that after 5 turns of melee, the impacts were counted as points, and was decided the winner.
In fact the winner was Slorm with 10 pts, them the other Rep 5 knight with 5 pts, and finally a Rep 4 knight with 0pts. I will maintain these two knights for the next tournament in the game.
Another tournament will be played in Arbwois, so our heros are heading there.
