I saw others mention they play with less minis and have modified Reinforcement Tables. Care to share?

Here are my tables. These have gone through tweaks over the years. This is based on a starting squad of no more than 6-8 guys. I also play with the IAN rule that generates an extra PEF when doubles are rolled and use the PEF Movement Table that splits PEFs, so I have a greater chance of having more than 3 PEFs on the table so that's why I have a low number of reinforcements and resolved PEFs appearing. Plus when the last and only PEF appears, I add 2 enemy soldiers to the result. It's a matter of finding the right balance of not overwhelming and not too easy and play games quickly.
○ (1) 2 soldiers appear ○ (2) 3 soldiers appear ○ (3) 2 less soldiers than you have. ○ (4) 1 less soldier than you have. ○ (5) Half as many soldiers as you (rounded up). ○ (6) Same amount of soldiers than you have.
Troop Quality
1 Inexperienced - all Rep 3
(1-5) Wehrmacht (6) HitlerJugend
2 Mixed - first 2 soldiers are - Rep 4 Leader + Rep 4 NCO + any remaining are Rep 3 soldiers
Wehrmacht
3-4 Experienced - All Rep 4
Wehrmacht
5 Veteran - first 2 soldiers are - Rep 5 Leader + Rep 5 NCO + any remaining are Rep 4 soldiers
(1-2) Wehrmacht (3-4) Fallschirmjaeger (5-6) Waffen SS
6 Elite - All Rep 5
(1-2) Fallschirmjaeger (4-6) Waffen SS

For numbers I use. Roll 1/2d6 and add to the number of figs in your unit. Roll 1/2d6 and subtract from the new total. Never less than 1 figure met.

Pretty cool. I’m thinking of using something like those in my games. What’s your rule for splitting PEFs? I’m also thinking of adding tanks for those rare FUBAR moments, but using simplified rules for tanks. Maybe use Damage spells for tank fire or something.

I’m also thinking of adding tanks for those rare FUBAR moments, but using simplified rules for tanks. Maybe use Damage spells for tank fire or something. Jay, A few of the rules books that I know of that have the splitting PEFs are Long Rifle, Blood Upon the Risers, The Big Hurt, Rifles & Rebels and probably others. Basically the PEF will split if it's the last PEF on the board. I used to not like it when a PEF splits because enemy units could become overwhelming. Once I resolved smaller number of enemy units, I actually like the extra PEFs because it keeps the game going. In my current 95th game I'm playing with a unit of 6 soldiers and so far I've had 3 PEFs resolve and 2 enemy reinforcments arrive. My guys are still hanging in there with one OD and one wounded. I like the vehicle rules in Nuts! as they are. If I start with armor it will be with one vehicle. I tweaked the PEF resolution table and enemy reinforcement table with modifiers with a more likelihood to resolve as a Panzerschrek, AT gun, or a tank to counter my vehicle. If an enemy tank shows up first, it's going to be tough going. Unless I brought a bazooka along, the other option would be to retreat off the board or if the situation allows for a gammon/grenade assault. Even enemy LMGs are bad news.
