I love Joust since it is very specific in the stats of your troops, however, is a pain in the neck to roll every dice each turn.. too much dice and to much modifiers... The Good Ed has come to save the day with this new version of Joust, using the Distant shores system.
Luckily I have had the opportunity of testing the new version, and I have made a review, you can enjoy of it here, and of the book... very soon:

Thanks. Is the melee a new system?

Yes, of course, both horse joust and on foot melee.
Very complete! Totally recommended

Thanks. Is the melee a new system? Oh yeah! Different than all other THW rules. If you want you could use it for other rules. Little more detail; but just a bit.

The most important aspect of this version, IMHO, is that it is smoother, requires of less maths, so you can concentrate in the game and enjoy the battle. As says Ed... "Just play the game"
