I have finally finished painting my two forces, so am now setting up to play my first game. But first: more questions
(note sorry about all the questions - a byproduct of spending my 31 year career in the legal system)...
Anyway.
In ButR in clearly states that you can only search an equipment bundle once (pg 7). However, I don't see any simlar statement on how often an area can be searched for bundles.
So to search, it looks like you roll the "Sucess die." If you fail, can you search again next activation and try your luck again?
Or do you have to move to a different field/woods first?
If you are sucessful, can you do another search in that same area to see if there is another different equiment bundle?
In the first scenario, you start out all by your lonesome and have to look for other troopers, while avoiding the enemy until you are ready. It is indeed possible, if not probable, that you may find yourself discovering an enemy force first and not wanting to enage them right off. Is the following correct?
1. My star notes a nearby (but currently out of LOS) PEF and choses to investigate, moving so that the PEF is now in line of sight.
2. I roll on the PEF Resolution Table whith the result of it being an enemy force. It is large enough where I don't want to take it on just yet.
3. Now that there is an enemy force "In Sight" - the "in Sight" test is triggered
4. My Star can move 2" before taking the test; he uses that 2" to duck behind cover, so that now neither side is in the other's LOS.
5. Because neither side has an enemy in LOS at the moment, there is no need to actualy take the "in sight" test.
6. The now revealed PEF will do nothing further this turn but will now move as an NP Enemy during the next turn.
Do I have it correct?
Thanks
Jeff
