Two questions – one simple, one more complicated
1: PEF movement. What takes priority, total movement or staying in cover? What is the difference between using the regular rule and the optional one in this situation?
For example, suppose the PEF rolls up “moves 8” directly towards enemy staying in cover…” Suppose there is a wall between the forces but it is only 6” away, which of the folllowing is correct:
1. The PEF moves only 6” in order to take cover behind the wall.
2. The PEF moves all 8” crossing the wall and ends up in the open.
3. The PEF doesn’t do either and moves to the center of the area, even if such move is more than 8” away.
2. This one has to do with charging into contact. I learned from reading a previous post that the option rule on pg 102 declares that the original “Charge into mele” (page 29 & 90) is no longer used. Understood. However, that same paragraph on pg 102 says to use the “New shooting table on page 9…”
I am guessing there is a missing numeral there, as there isn’t a shooting table in page 9 of the rules or compedium.
Please clarify how this works.

Cover takes the priority so 6" and cover. Yah. Cut and pasted from another set of rules and that's the refence to page 9. Sorry about that. Have you tired NUTS Quick Play? You can sub out the tables and use them with NUTS. Hope this helps.
