I like to make my own markers, when possible. I haven't gotten the rules yet (but I will, I promise), but after watching a couple youtube videos, I see there is a need for markers to represent unknowns. I will be gaming Normandy scenarios: 507/82 v 91st division, so I came up with markers based on regimental or division patch. Is there anything else that you need for markers until whatever is marked becomes identified?

Not many. Are you playing on a table with terrain?

Okay, then won't need many at all. Obviously Dead. Lay it face down or use a OD marker. Out of the Fight. Lay the mini face down or use a OOF marker. Duck Back - Usually behind a wall or over 1" deep into the woods. Turn the figure with its back to the enemy that caused the Duck Back or use a DB marker. Prone - Lay it face down. Out of Ammo - OA marker. Doesn't happen very often. Litko has some made for THW games too. Go here and type in THW for search. litko.net/collections/game-system
