Finished painting 20mm militia figures for the Red & Black Column which saw action in the Aragon forest and the failed invasion of Majorca. The column was later absorbed into the Republican army. Also have a photo of a couple of writers! The Red and Black Column

NUTS! runs SCW very well. I've run 2 scenarios at conventions, one in which Italians for the Republicans battle Italians for the Nationalists, and another in which the Republicans have a t-26 with a damaged transmission that they must keep from a Republican force.

Wonderful work on the figures. With your interest in this period, you may want to get a copy of Bob Cordery's "La Ultima Cruzada, a Wargamers Guide to the Spanish Civil War". My copy was from "On Military Matters".

I'd be a poor choice to write a Nuts! SCW book. First, my Spanish sucks, second, I'd rip off a lot of what has already been done and third, I have a strong leftist socialist bias and would not be fair at all to the Trumpians, er, fascists.

Usually its pretty straight forward, it just takes someone with enough knowledge to help with: 1. General background - how did this happen, and why do I care? 2. The sides involved 3. Timeline of the conflict 4. Conflict specific unit lists and reinforcement tables 4. Suggested campaign with x10 scenarios. The rules are all done, so no need to do that, you just identify which ones can be added to a scenario. Like maybe you want to add Fanatic Foes to a scenario or unit, or have a scenario with Privation Rules applied, etc. Cheers!

Would LOVE to be involved in a NUTS SCW project. Live in Spain, have passable Spanish and have been working on a number of SCW gaming projects for ages. Only experience I lack is with this games, as I have only just discovered it. It's what I have been looking for for a long time, in that it fills a gap in my suite of games (I have a Brigade level games and air and naval systems already.) Another thing I like about this system is the solo aspect, which isn't bolted on as with others.

As regards the 2nd Edition of Bob Cordery's book La Ultima Cruzada I can second the recommendation (I am biased though, having helped to proof and copy edit it) and I'd also recommend checking out his Portable Wargame serues.
