Over the past year and a half, I've been buying 3D printed resin miniatures. The cost is about the same and a little cheaper than most sci-fi and fantasy miniatures.
I've been told that 3D printing is a hobby within itself. How much time do you need in order to learn to print good miniatures? It is something an "old" person can learn easily?
How much space does the equipment require? I'm afraid I have limited space in my home & would need everything to fit on a 2' x 3' surface.
And here's the important question - how easy is it to scale down miniatures, say from 28mm to 10mm? Why this question? Because female sculpts in 15mm, 10mm & 6mm either don't exist or most that do really suck.

I've been interested in getting a resin printer myself, but have been dealing with a few other problems, so I haven't been able to, but from what I've found out about 3D resin printing it's fairly easy to learn how to do, no matter your age (I'm in my late 50's) and the printers are relatively inexpensive (compared to when they first came out). Most printers can "scale-down" or "scale-up" miniatures from the STL file you are using. I will link a YouTube Search Query for 3D resin printing, hopefully it will be helpful 3D resin printing
