I've recently ran through the 5150 Known Space "Amok Space" mission, and without spoiling anything, I can say that it was a very cool experience. I ran through it solo with my own PCs and it was very fun. I'd highly recommend it. Has anyone else had a chance to try it out yet? If yes, what was your experience with it? This just came out of Kickstarter so it hasn't been out long but I finally had a chance to play through it and I'm happy with the results. Thanks to everyone who participated in bringing this project into being

Thanks to everyone who participated in bringing this project into being Awesome! The only pregenerated encounters I've played are from 5150: No Limits - The Cool Coolie. I keep meaning to try one of the other adventures, but I find myself wanting to just take off on my own adventures when I do. It's really one of the best side-effects of the rules streamlining. If you recall the older rules, it took so many pages to describe the reaction combat system and genre rules that there weren't any pages left for anything else. The pregenerated adventures had to be published separately. We still get those type of releases, but now each core rule book has enough room to include one, or even two, complete sets of adventures. I just need to have the discipline and focused attention to follow through on playing them.

Thanks for your reply. I'd like to start taking off on my own adventures too but I'll try and finish the pre-planned missions first. When I've completed those I feel like I'll have the experience & knowledge to really have the rules down as second nature. Then I'll be able to focus more on free-style storylines (ones I create myself). It sounds like you're a faster study than I am but I play solo mainly now days so it progresses at whatever pace I can handle and I'm really happy with it all

That's great feedback, I'm glad you enjoyed it! I play tested it several times to see how it flowed, and of course given how 5150 can turn out, my whole crew got wiped at the warehouse early on in the mission...restart! Then another time I got impatient at travel times and did a Long Jump, blew my roll completely and ended up in a Black Hole. Restart! But third times the charm, and ran the whole adventure successfully! I like how even the same Mission will never play the same way twice.

Thanks for your reply. For me I had the worst luck during the "An Honest Day's Work" section but without requiring a restart. I would have had a problem with being wanted during another part but thought of a way to sidestep that fortunately. In my space travels I was lucky and met mostly merchants, etc. but once I had to defend against pirates. I imagine if I played through it again, even with the same PCs, it would go rather differently. I basically had beginner's luck with my first run through. It was enough fun that I might run it again, maybe with the pre-generated PCs this time, and see how that goes.
