Hello,
I was wondering what the purpose of a Rep 8 hacking computer was? Sixes always fail (unless I am mistaken), and so it seems functionally identical to a Rep 5 computer.
It also seems almost impossible to hack (which makes sense considering what it represents), but how would you even it out with upgrades and such?

But you should reduce the chance of sucess vs. any computer higher than a 5 proportionately. So, to hack a Rep 5 I'd use Savvy. Pass 2d6, I hacked it. Pass 1d6 re-take and count pass 1d6 as pass 0d6. Pass 0d6 - Fail. Now for the Rep 8 or even 7 I'd tweak it. Pass 2d6, I hacked it. Pass 1d6, count pass 1d6 as pass 0d6. Pass 0d6 - Fail.
