I thought I understood this, but then doubted my understanding, so I figured I would ask. I am playing solo. Here is the basic situation: I move my squad as a group and come upon a PEF. I resolve it and it is a squad in defensive position. At this point it seems an In Sight test is called for. I win the test. All my rifles can fire. After a lot of back and forth, all but one had to Duck Back. One rifle though hit his target, killing him. My activation is now over. That leaves my one guy who fired successfully out in the open. Right? OK, enemy now activates. Do we conduct another In Sight test at this point, or is it once In Sight, always In Sight until one Ducks Back? That would make sense to me, but I'd just like clarification. Still having a lot of fun though. I threw my first grenade! I'm getting there.

^ That's the way I play it - once In Sight, always In Sight until something obstructs vision, like the character Ducking Back.

Thanks for the replies guys. It does seem realistic that way. In fact, the more I play, the more I realize how realistic these rules are.

Yes, I've tried many different Minis rulesets but I always gravitate back towards THW for a combination of the realism and the flexibility. You can basically apply it to any theme, the tricky part is coming up with some elegant systems to distinguish it from other THW games, like the Draw mechanic in 6 Gun Sound, or the tank crew rules in Nuts!
