5150 Working Grave - Judge Dredd theme (with 5150 aliens for simplicity).
Judge Saul Rep 5, Pep 5, Savvy 4 Basic male with Crack shot and Quick reflexes attributes (one picked, one rolled for. Lucky me!)
I follow Judge Saul for 6 months to try out Working Grave. Text in parentheses explains game mechanics or gives out of story information...
————————————————————————-
Month 1 - Involuntary encounter
Off Duty Bribery
A smogger has been caught having inappropriate relations at work. Saul is off duty when Melus the smogger tries to bribe him to look the other way outside Keith Chegwin block. He picked the wrong Judge (intimidation success), Saul arrests Melus and serves him with a heavy fine.
Month 1 - Voluntary encounter
On duty patrol - 3 PEFs
1. Confidential informant. Saul has been involved in surveillance on ‘Evan’ a tv personality. He suspects him of involvement in crime. He meets with Lonso, a Zhu Zhu ne’er do well who is a trusty worthy informant (success). The word on the street is that Evan is involved in Perp running. (Saul will attempt to follow up on this lead by gaining two evidence then arresting or pursuing Evan.)
(At this point I completely forgot to complete two more patrol encounters. Whoops!)

Month 2 - Involuntary encounter
Off duty, Off book employment - Intimidation - Mover
A friend of Lance an influential resident of Des O'Connor block wants Carrie Lance’s mistress to be told that she has outstayed her welcome (5 Rep d6 pay!). Saul is a young Judge, out to prove himself and gain a great reputation. Its a lot of Creds but he declines and warns against trying to pervert justice! (+1 street cred.)
Month 2 - Voluntary encounter
Security - Road block
Nearing the end of a riot, Judge Saul is standing guard at a roadblock. All is quiet and nothing happens at all! He is thankful for a moment of calm.
————————————————————————-
Month 3 - Involuntary Encounter
Security - Roadblock (After choosing a security encounter I then rolled it again as an involuntary encounter.)
Things have taken longer to settle after the riot than expected. Judge Saul is posted back to his previous roadblock
Round 3 - Someone approaches. Felix a member of Melus’ gang approaches. He looks angry. Judge Saul warns him to obey the law and move on. Felix closes in fists flying. Damn punk! After a brief scuttle Saul lays him out with a sucker punch, cuffs him and has him sent to an Iso cube.
Round 4 - Someone approaches. Its a scrunt net runner. Saul advises him to move on. Thankfully he does (+1 street cred).
Round 5 - End of encounter.
Month 3 - Voluntary encounter
Patrol, City Hall, 3 PEFs
1. Confidential Informant. Balder the drantakh net runner. (Is this info on Evan? Yes.) Saul isn’t feeling too good tonight. Will he make it to the bar in time? (physical challenge. Yes.) Balder gives Judge Saul pertinent information on the Evan case (evidence 1 of 2)
2. Disturbance of the peace. A rich (Mover - Patron) but drunk lady outside of a restaurant is raising a disturbance. Saul tries to calm her but fails. She takes a swing at him! (This rep 4, drunk lady rolled rage as an attribute. She could have been a problem. Thankfully Saul wins the initiative then takes her out with a precise and effective law enforcement knock to the head!). A meat wagon is called when the fight is through...
3. Confidential Informant. (I roll up a drantakh ganger. Is this Balders gang? Yes. Is this info on the Evan case? No). Saul receives a call from Balder. He has info and wants me to meet one of his cronies at a quiet intersection. On the way Saul becomes somewhat lost (Savvy, normal challenge. He uses his bike’s nav system for +1. Success). Unsure at first, Saul finds his rendezvous. A gang known as The Scars are planning to take out an alcohol merchant - Otis as they are moving into his block and want complete control of the trade. Saul takes note and hopes to follow up on this.
(It all kicks off in Part 2. To be concluded...)
