Hi a (probably stupid) question for you on the Strike Table (Page 16 of the 5/9/20 rules).
I have Rep4. I have succesfully out-maneuvred my opponent, and then win on the Fight Table too... time for the damage!
I go to the Strike Table and roll 1d6.
If I am reading it correctly on a "6" I kill the enemy gladiator.
If I roll 4 or 5 I hit and check AC etc
If I roll 1-3 I miss.
Doesn't this penalise good Reps? If I apply this logic it would be easier to Hit with a Rep of 2 (it would become 6=kill, 2-5 = Hit and 1 = Miss). This cannot be right. Please help by clarifying or showing me why this does work with an example?
I know I must be doing/reading something wrong..
Thanks in advance!
Andy

You roll against the struck Gladiator's Rep, not the attacker. Sorry, could have been clearer.

That would make sense... let me read it again and revert either way

I had the rules in my bag... 5/9/20 version, if you roll on target's Rep it makes complete sense and just goes to show that it was really a stupid question Thanks for getting back to me A
