Hi - Does 1 encounter equal one week in the Quick Play edition? I assume that is how you track the passage of time?
Thanks
Erskine

Hi - Does 1 encounter equal one week in the Quick Play edition? I assume that is how you track the passage of time? Thanks Erskine That's up to you. You can choose to track the ten years as you want or decide when to retire (page 6). Or tie it into the 5150 New Beginnings core rules - two parts in a month, early and late. I use the core rules - 240 Encounters.

5150 New Beginnings Quick Play rules don't give any game time guidance anywhere (even the Encounters section doesn't suggest any time frame) but the Retirement table is attempting to enforce the 10 years rule ("You can choose to retire whenever you want to, but no later than ten years") - If someone doesn't own the core rules I suspect they would be pretty confused as to how to track game time. Might be worth adding _something_ to the Encounters section. Maybe just something that says 2 Encounters are roughly equal to 1 month (perhaps pointing out that "nested" encounters like Job Offer are rolled up into one "encounter".)

RETIREMENT All good things must come to an end and so will your career. • You can choose to retire whenever you want to, but no later than ten years. • You can have two Encounters per Month. • A Job counts as one Encounter until it is completed. • Consult the Retirement Table.
Now done. All corrections and changes in all the QP games are being done and the PDFs resent. Print copies will be printed after updates are sent.
