After talking on the other thread, I was thinking of playing a Fortunes game. However, I’d rather use the Battleboard over the 9 section map. This brings about a couple of questions.
1. How do you handle buildings? They’re normally in Section 2 but what about with the BB? Would they be after the last PEF? And if so, how many appear? Also how do you handle them in Defend encounters?
2. How do you handle armies? For example, if I have 3 armies and the NP opponent has 2?
Thanks!

Slightly before the advent of the battle board, I played a Fortunes of War campaign using pencil & paper to track the movement of the PEFs and forces through the 9 table sections. When forces came into sight, I would set up that section on a 2' by 2' board on the dining room table and play out the combat.
The rules say to place one building per point of major morale in Section 2 if Raiding or Section 8 if Defending. I had no problems on my 2' by 2' board but can see where buildings can be an issue on the 8"x11" battle board.

Move section by section on it. Enter an occupied section move to the Battle Board. If in a Building have on edge of the Battle Board, be the building. 2 - Armies? Fortunes is based on 6 figure groups. If have multiple groups, then place one per Battle Board and adjacent to each other.
