Although I'd used the THWG system when running games, converting NPCs and situations to use the THWG system and was a lot of fun (E.g. if you're an evil mutant, your watchdog is a radioactive grizzly bear). But I just for the first time played 2 Hour Dungeon Crawl solo. Some questions: - If the Star recruits Grunts, does this mean the cards representing those Grunts come out of the "Bad Guys" deck, and you'll never encounter them?
- Stars are presumed to have some sort of melee (or bow'n'arrow if a shooter) to start out, but what determines their AC? How does a shield add to AC, if it does?
- Since the Big Bad who owns the dungeon is given on the Campaign map and therefore his minions and low lives are a given, does that mean you can't recruit Grunts from those species? - If you encounter "Band of Adventurers" what determines what kind or class of characters they are? What determines their Rep? - In this rule set you either recruit them, fight them, or just go on your way?

Although I'd used the THWG system when running games, converting NPCs and situations to use the THWG system and was a lot of fun (E.g. if you're an evil mutant, your watchdog is a radioactive grizzly bear). But I just for the first time played 2 Hour Dungeon Crawl solo. Some questions: Here goes. - If the Star recruits Grunts, does this mean the cards representing those Grunts come out of the "Bad Guys" deck, and you'll never encounter them? I leave them in the deck and when you run into them set up the counters on both sides. So, if I recruit a Goblin, I leave the card and when I run into Goblins, I just place the Gobbo counters on both sides.
- Stars are presumed to have some sort of melee (or bow'n'arrow if a shooter) to start out, but what determines their AC? AC is on the card and was figured by the type they are wearing. How does a shield add to AC, if it does? The picture on the card shows if the characters have a shield. Shield protects you from shooting (page 11).
- Since the Big Bad who owns the dungeon is given on the Campaign map and therefore his minions and low lives are a given, does that mean you can't recruit Grunts from those species? Page 8 under How Big of a Band says Humans only, but it's your game. I would if I wanted to. I would add a rule though. If recruiting a non-Humna roll 1de6 and add the result to its Rep. Do the same with your Star. If your total is more, you can recruit them - If you encounter "Band of Adventurers" what determines what kind or class of characters they are? What determines their Rep? Build the Band by drawing the unused Human, Elf, and Dwarf Character Cards (page 16). - In this rule set you either recruit them, fight them, or just go on your way? Yep. Now Warrior Heroes Adventures in Talomir uses similar game mechanics but is more detailed so if you want more detail, give it a look. Hope this helps.
