So, I am trying to learn to play and I have a few questions about combat.
When the other side is active, what determines which action each NPC will take? Will the NPC shoot or charge into melee?
and if the NPc has a BA2 or A3, what determines the target of his second and third shot?
And if there is for example 2 opponents against my band of five, how does the opponent choose their target?
Also, there seems to be some text missing in the pdf version. For example, in the Zhu-zhu section, there is a blank space and then the text begins with "Further evidence..." which suggest it’s not the first paragraph of explanation.

For your first question, I believe you go down the list of actions from top to bottom. So if they can shoot, they shoot - if they can't shoot, they charge - if they can't charge, they do the third thing on the list - etc.
For your second & third questions, I prefer dumping all shots onto one target if possible (e.g. even numbers on each side) but if not, I just try to match up Reps as much as possible. So if it's say a Rep 5 and a Rep 3 shooting at a larger group of several Rep 3s and 4s, I'd match up the 5 against the 4's and the 3 against the other 3's as much as possible.
I might be wrong but that's how I do it.

So, I am trying to learn to play and I have a few questions about combat. Here goes. When the other side is active, what determines which action each NPC will take? Will the NPC shoot or charge into melee? As mentioned, go down the Action list.and if the NPc has a BA2 or A3, what determines the target of his second and third shot? He targets the guy lined up against him. Can't target anyone until all have been targeted unless he's by himself. Then to the left or right of the primary target, then flip it if shooting at three. And if there is for example 2 opponents against my band of five, how does the opponent choose their target? The guy they are lined up against. Also, there seems to be some text missing in the pdf version. For example, in the Zhu-zhu section, there is a blank space and then the text begins with "Further evidence..." which suggest it’s not the first paragraph of explanation. Should say... Zhuh-Zhuh is the common term for members of the infraorder Suprasimiiformes. When ASI research expeditions had first contact with the Zhuh-Zhuhs they were assumed to be evolved cousins of the infraorder Simiiformes or the higher primates that populate many worlds in one form or another. This was incorrect as proven centuries later with data that supports that these Suprasimiiformes are much older than was originally thought.
Thanks for the catch, will update in PDF and print as well.

Thanks for the catch, will update in PDF and print as well.So for weapons with multiple shot, if I understand correctly, a shooter can’t shoot twice at the same target unless every enemy has been targeted at least once. i assume then that a shooter can’t shoot a third time at the same target unless every enemy has been targeted twice. Is that correct? Also, Ed, I have spotted other errors while reading the rules. I know it’s a bit late in the publication process, but I have an offer for you. I have never played any of your games before, and I don’t have much experience with wargames and rpg. As a complete beginner, I could go through the rules and offer you some comments on what I think is missing or what could be clearer. Because I think someone already experienced with your games will have the knowledge necessary to understand the rules even if some info is missing. At the same time, I could tell you of any errors that I spot. Keep in mind that english is not my first language.

No, other way around. Shooter cannot fire at a second target until all other targets are targeted unless the shooter is by himself.i assume then that a shooter can’t shoot a third time at the same target unless every enemy has been targeted twice. Is that correct? No, once everyone has been targeted it can fire at whomever it wants. Also, Ed, I have spotted other errors while reading the rules.
