Says it allows 1 non casterthe ability to cast 1 spell of choice at -1 rep. Lasts for 1 encounter. Does this mean that character can cast the chosen spell as many times as you want during the encounter?

So why does it say “ lasts for 1 encounter”? Thats what confused me.

So why does it say “ lasts for 1 encounter”? Thats what confused me. I think what it says is that scrolls are single use and then discarded but the effect of the spell lasts for the whole turn, like for example fearless: "Scrolls (S) – Scrolls provide the user with a unique ability such as becoming Fearless."
