Surely you can play 5150 in any setting/ genre of Sci-Fi you wish? I have often used the rules for 'Flash Gordon' type games. (I don't Own Future Tales) Yes you can, just adjust per your ideas. Absolutely. Its just that I love the lore provided and don’t want to deviate from it much. I have made a set of custom tokens that change the looks of some of the races to be more old school. I’m now much happier :-)

Right! I'm thinking of doing something like a cyberpunk setting with all humans and some robots using 5150 Send Lawyers, Guns, and Money. Though, I will probably tone down the cops a little. They seem a little TOO strict.

It might be outside the scope of this document, but is there a way to apply battle board ideas to the mass combat games (RRTK, WHTBK, etc.)? WHTBK came with a battle board and some counters, but not really any rules to use them -- unless I should be assuming the counters are 6mm figures

Here's a Bat Rep on an 8.5 x 11 board. 1" counters. You get into it really quick and army set up is important. Movement and ranges I reduced by half. If you're used to playing on a large table and moving a lot prior to contact, it will be very different. 001Bat rep.pdf (248.94 KB)
