I have a question that came up in a recent game of Swordplay 2015, i.e. the tabletop version. But as far as I see, it could equally well come up in other 2hr rule sets, whether tabletop or battleboard.
The situation was that a small force of a few minis decided to charge into melee against a larger force. It is clear that in the charge, each attacker is assigned to one defender.
But there are more defenders within a few inches. What do they do?
A) react to the situation and move to assist their comrades who are being attacked? That is, some attackers will have to fight against multiple foes?
OR
B) wait until their own activation, unable to do anything until then - except fail a man down test, perhaps?
Greetings Karl Heinz

I would say B) as they were not active. Perhaps they were caught off guard by the screaming and confusion of being charged. Once they regain their composure (if they don't fail any reaction tests!), then they can charge in as well.

Yep, B it is. They take the action Test and win, they act and overwhelm the enemy. The enmy wins the action test, they strike first and Man Down comes into play.
