My Kurinthian sorceress, Danja Brightshield, is unhappy. I can tell by the list of items she wants me to get at the local Krogers - eye of newt, gluten free toad slime, goat entrails from the butcher counter & some expensive items from the health food section (why does healthy food cost more?).
She's all worked up about the section on Magic Power dice in the draft copy of Warrior Heroes Adventures in Talomir, that Ed sent me. There's a section called "The Power of the Dark Side" which begins with "Evil powers are easier and deadlier." She absolutely cackled with glee in reading that part. Well, after she read Casting the Spell table, she saw there was no advantage of "evil power being easier or deadlier." So, she reread the part about Magic Power & became quite livid. Whether neutral, good or bad if you roll a six on a Magic Power die, you suffer a consequence. Only when a Black Moon caster rolls a six, she can roll another d6 for free for a chance to make sure the spell is cast or possibly face a worse consequence. On the other hand, if a Red Sun caster rolls a one, he is given an additional d6 to add to his Magic Power dice pool. She screamed "I have to get knocked on my kiester to get an extra d6 that is immediately used, while goody two-shoes gets a d6 to use as he wishes?"
So, I guess evil spells are deadlier, but to whom - the target of the caster?
Anyway, I have to get to the grocery store to get the stuff she wants for a male pattern baldness & erectile disfunction spell she's working up for Haldor & Billy Pink.
P.S. There are lots of subtle rule changes that make this game a lot different from Warrior Heroes Legends.
