Colonial Adventures is a mass battle rule set covering the period after the Napoleonic Wars to World War I. It can be miniature heavy in that units are are 10 to 20 figures & native troops usually outnumber the colonial troops 3 to 1. It has army lists for British, French, Germans, Northern Aftica, Equatorial Africa, India, Asia, etc.
Fortunes Won & Lost is a skirmish game with bands of no larger than 5 figures. It is a campaign game pitting Colonial Adventurers versus Natives.
Larger Than Life is a Cinematic game based on the pulp stories ranging from the late Victorian period to the Interwar period of the 1930s.
There is some overlap of all three games in the periods they cover, In my opinion, Colonail Adventures is a game for battles, Fortunes Won & Lost is a campaign for advancement, and Larger Than Life is a game for cinematic story.

There's also Mission St. Mary, which is similar to LTL but with exploration instead of a story format. It also features a wide mix of characters, from neanderthals and dinosaurs to steampunks.

In LTL, you go from scene to scene like you’re in a story, collecting clues until the final fight at the end.
In MSM, you’re free to explore the island where you’ll meet cavemen, creatures from other worlds, and even other explorers.

The Mission St. Marty game I ran at Texicon in 2014 won the best miniatures game trophy that year. I think Lance & Dave's Larger than Life Princess of Mars game won in 2011 or 2012.
THW games always seem to be well attended at DFW area conventions.
