I started a campaign with the americans in Italy (Anzio 1944), and I have a question about the terrain generation with the compendium, I can't figure out how to utilize both the tables from version 4 and compendium.
For example: the terrain of the campaign is normal, so I must use the generic terrain table, but how can I decide if the terrain is clear, hill, wood or water? And why none of them contemplate building?
the other question is about reinforcement: on a patrol mission the investement level is 3, for me and for the enemy, so none of us can receive reinforcement, because to do 7 the winner must achieve a 4 and it's more than the investement level, right?
One last thing: on the compendium I read about Mines and sniper, and it refers to a voice in the version 4, but i didn’t find that voice.

I started a campaign with the americans in Italy (Anzio 1944), and I have a question about the terrain generation with the compendium, I can't figure out how to utilize both the tables from version 4 and compendium. Here goes. Divide table into 9 sections like on page 57. Next roll 1d6 for each section and look at the Terrain generator on page 68 in NUTS or page 58 in the Compendium. For example: the terrain of the campaign is normal, so I must use the generic terrain table, but how can I decide if the terrain is clear, hill, wood or water? And why none of them contemplate building? Page 58 NUTS says (b) on the Terrain Table means Buildings.b Check the Urban and Clear columns. If you want more terrain detail, go to the Compendium and that Terrain Table page 58. Across the top the columns match up what you got on the NUTS Terrain Table. So if yo get Clear, and you want kore detial, go to the Compendium and roll 1d6 on the Clear column of the terrain table.the other question is about reinforcement: on a patrol mission the investement level is 3, for me and for the enemy, so none of us can receive reinforcement, because to do 7 the winner must achieve a 4 and it's more than the investement level, right? No. The side that scores higher rolls 1d6 and consults the Reinforcements Table page 67 NUTS. Check the Circumstances, says +1 per point of Investment Level. So add 3 to the d6 score. This is in NUTS 4th Edition the updated version. That sounds like the previous Edition, called Final Edition. Except it wasn't as players wanted more streamlined mechanics, something I never guessed would happen..One last thing: on the compendium I read about Mines and sniper, and it refers to a voice in the version 4, but i didn’t find that voice. Good catch. Here's the doc for it from Final Version.
