Can somebody explain group fire ( by groups I mean a whole squad) how it works to me and where it is in the 4th edition rules Please. JB. When a squad moves into sight of an enemy, boith sides take the In Sight Test(page 18 ). The Leader takes the test versus it's Rep. If the Leader of the Squad isn't involved, then the highest Rep involved figure takes the test. When it is time to shoot all the figures in that squad/group that are In Sight resolve their fire individually (page 26). If the shooter misses, the target could immediately return fire. Example - My squad moves forward in the woods, all the figures at the same time. Two of my squad members reach the edge of the woods and come Into Sight. Movment stops. The rest cannot reach the edge.
The two squaddies roll for In Sight versus three enemies. I win the In Sight and each guy fires individually at an enemy. One fires at two enemies the other at one. The guy firing at one scores a hit, I roll for Damage (page 27) and the enemy goes out of the fight.
My other guy fires and passes only 1d6 versus his Rep. The first target is hit, I roll for damage and he ducks back out of sight, ending his involvement. As I passed only 1d6 when shooting the 2nd guy is missed and returns fire on my guy. He misses, I fire back and miss again. But as the enemy has been fired at twice he ducks back. It's best to try a few games with 2 or 3 figures to start so as to get the mechanics down. Hope this helps, Ed

That's what I am doing thanks Ed but I have noticed on UTube that they add several of the squad fire together, and that's what I could not understand.
Thanks for your quick reply.

That is either from NUTS Big Battles or a change they've made. Send me the link, I'd be interested in what they are doing.
