This is my first attempt at a Two Hour Games RPG. It appears to be more of a toolbox approach than I am used to in other 2HW games. I like the additional details in the game which add flavour to the narrative, allow linking to other 2HW “table top” games, and reveal subtleties I haven’t discovered yet, but it seems to me that there are some details missing. I don’t know if this is intentional, to allow me to fill in the blanks, or my misinterpretation. Enough intro, here are my questions:
Band - appears that I have the option to either start with a band, or recruit one through successful Interactions. Same restrictions apply in ether case.
Increasing/Decreasing d6’s - really like how this captures, money, fame and street cred all in one.
Building Cards - In the rules example, Centerpoint Towers has a number for Character Cards that can be drawn (5) and 4 entrances for additional draws. Does this mean that 9 cards can be drawn?
Race and Class - Do non-Basics also have a class? It appears that only Basics have their REP and attributes determined by class - is that correct?
Weapons - ranged, auto-weapons, and melee weapons. Which NPC’s have them and how do you get them? I guess I could play as a Dealer to acquire weapons.
NHC Transit System - is movement one area at a time (per page 3, City Map) or do you go directly to your destination (per page 16 Billy Pink example)?
Confrontation - I assume that this is a confrontation with the NPC and not a job to confront someone else. Also, not sure why I would want to do it, but can I change any encounter into a Confrontation?
Sweat Talk - this is a very cool risk vs reward mechanic.
Persuade - I assume you roll a d6 for the area to do the job.
Recover - do you only search one building per area?
Thanks. Of the 8 board games I have purchased, this is the one that has stumped me, but it also excites me.
