Howdy all, In AHWTDID in the "Who are They?" lists I see a weapon listed as "B-2." Billy Pink also carries a B-2 weapon. What is it? It's not defined in the Weapons section of the rules and all I can find is this text, "... Operators use the B-2 with a heavy load, meaning they will roll 2d6 per hit and keep the best result."
So what's a B-2 weapon? Thanks

So, if you want to use 2 P-1s or 2 B-2s go right ahead." So yes, it's a big-ass pistol, as [edit: whoops!]blacksmith said!

So a B-2 gives the character 2 shots, and each one is a "hot load" that gives the character a best-of-2 damage roll. Yet it costs the same as a P-1 (nothing). And the character can carry 2 B-2s, and fire both in a single action, for 4 shots. Why would anyone, ever, not take 2 B-2s over a single wimpy P-1? What, if any is the downside?

(2 x B-2 = 4 shots) ;-) Serious questions, though: At what law level does possession of a BAP (or two) get you stinkeye from the local gendarmes? Is there any penalty, or special requirement, for simultaneously firing handguns with both hands? Can anybody do it with any handguns? Can it be done with 2 A-3s?

Law Level 4 or 5 and Police states frown on it. Brandishing a Weapon is a Level 2 Crime - two weapons two charges. Go to Court and that's Level 4 Crimes you're charged with (Working Grave page 19). Big deal? Charged with Level 3 or lower Crimes, pay fines. Level 4 is go to jail if guilty. Plus... Put one guy OOF, that's Mayhem - Level 2. Always tack on Disturbing the Peace - Level 1. So pull 2 guns, take one guy OOF and get arrested. Level 7 charges. In New Hope that's prison planet if found guilty. This is the stuff that is overlooked most of the time. But it's there if you want to use it. If you want to fire 2 A-3s, sure but at -1 to Rep unofficially. Officially, fire 6 shots at let's say three targets. Pass 1d6 when shooting then the 2nd and 3rd guys are missed and return fire. Hope this helps.

IMO, police hassles are definitely a deterrent. (So's LL4+.)
Nightmare: Grath with an A-3 in each hand.
Thanks, Ed.

Sounds good, but my guys are still gonna need clean undies!
Worse, since we are just an honest, hard-working interstellar freighter crew, we only ever tote a single P-1 apiece. (Unless we are going somewhere that's REAL trouble, of course.) So, when that Grath pops out of the alley in LL3 Arakis Downport and mistakes us for the guys that stiffed him last time with that bad credit voucher ("Wasn't us! Really!"), it's just popguns on our side. Oh, and the psy-cat....
