Hello everybody! Here I am with another question... I love Warrior Heroes ruleset, and I have been reading Great Hall Burning, and I have seen that the number of miniatures in both systems tu create a unit are different, in Warrior Heroes the infantry units are 6+1d6, and with Great Hall Burning is 8+1/2d6 -1/2d6, I am not sure, what is the "recommended" number of miniatres per unit, or which are the "critical numbers", I mean, where the number of miniatures really affects the result of the combat.
On the other hand if I would like to add cavalry to GHB, which could be the recommended number of miniatures for the unit?
Thanks

For ease I'd go with 10 man units if you want standardization. Otherwise, decide how many units you want and divide your figures by that.
As for affecting play it isn't the size of the unit, it's the size of the units when they meet in combat. So a 5 figure unit will be at a disadvantage over a 8 man unit.
Hope this helps. Ed

I always use 10 figures as my base unit. If I was to have variations I go up or down from there. I usually prebuilt my encounters and PEFs to fit the story I’m playing. I still love surprise so I list either 6 or ten possible encounters and them random from my chart.

Thanks, I have decided to make a pair of armies with Kallistra miniatures, so each unit will have 6 stands. Them I will roll the dice 1/2d6-1/2d6, so the unit will have between 4 to 8 stands. Why 6? because kallistra sells packs of 32 miniatures, and each stand will have 4 miniatures, so 32/4= 8, so with a pack I have a big unit (8 stands) or if smaller I can relocate the leftovers in other units. The casualties will be put away per each stand.
The idea is to fight as if they were an army.
