My friends and I have just started playing this fine game and we have a question for Ed or anyone else who is a NUTS! veteran:
If a half squad fast moves, can you legally allow one or more of its members to be separated from the group (greater than 4") if they don't pass enough d6 to keep up? The group cohesion rules state that the smallest possible group is a half squad, provided it has a leader. Is fast moving away from other group members considered voluntarily separating the group or is it considered an involuntary separation because the individuals tried to follow the order and failed?
That said, another question existing within the one above would be whether or not making the additional movement during a fast move is mandatory once rolled.

My friends and I have just started playing this fine game and we have a question for Ed or anyone else who is a NUTS! veteran: Here goes.If a half squad fast moves, can you legally allow one or more of its members to be separated from the group (greater than 4") if they don't pass enough d6 to keep up? Actually you have to. You move your normal move then roll for Fast Move and each figure moves as far as it could. The group cohesion rules state that the smallest possible group is a half squad, provided it has a leader. Is fast moving away from other group members considered voluntarily separating the group or is it considered an involuntary separation because the individuals tried to follow the order and failed? Involuntary as they were ordered to go as fast as they could and they did.
That said, another question existing within the one above would be whether or not making the additional movement during a fast move is mandatory once rolled. Yes, it's mandatory. You control your Star, not everyone else.
