I'd like to run a robot character through 5150 No Limits. Now I have Future Tales and I can see how I could port over the general robot creation concepts over but then I though that perhaps I could just use the "Enhancements" concept in No Limits but tweak the whole Metal Madness concept a bit because it is not that a robot loses their mind but maybe their programming goes haywire in some other way (droids in Star Wars notoriously have all sorts of quirks after restraining bolts are removed or memory wipes are botched.)
Has anyone else run robots in 5150 No Limits - any thoughts on this? Thanks!

What do you want the robot to do? Military, Joe Labor? Something else?

My character concept is that the robot is a former military robot that my star pc captured and reprogrammed to be the hired muscle (also the navigator/pilot eventually.) My star is a quick shot and charismatic but is more of the face of the crew than the muscle. If you are looking for a pop culture reference think K-2SO from Star Wars Rogue One.

I like just about everything in Future Tales but greatly prefer the streamlined No Limits mechanics and I do like having the rules around trading and such even if I ultimately intend to generate my own systems and aliens as laid in out in Future Tales (and the Missions of Tomorrow expansion.) I think a blend of Future Tales for the overarching story and world setting but the encounters and challenges of No Limits is my ideal. Wanting to keep the simplicity of No Limits was what made me second guess whether I really needed the Robots system from FT at all.

Easy peasy. Will modify the robot section from FT into No Limits. Next day or two.
