Hi everyone, first post, playing my first game of NUTS!
Playing Patrol, got most of the way across the table with my squad, PEFs have either not been moving, or when they do, they have been false alarms twice (despite the 3d6 roll). Finally the last PEF moved into view and automatically became a reinforcement roll which ended up as a squad.
Question 1) How do I place this squad? Just one guy in sight and rest hidden?
I rolled on the NP Patrol Reaction table and got "Fighting Withdrawal". The PEF started on the board so,
Question 2) "withdraw from the table back the way they entered." They were on the board from the start, which table edge should they be withdrawing to? I'm assuming the table edge opposite the one I started on, however this would cause the enemy to move towards me as I'm on that side of the board now trying to fulfill my patrol objective.
Question 3) What movement table should the enemy be rolling on now? I see a table for Attack and one for Defend. I'm assuming "Fighting Withdrawal" uses neither and will always move towards whichever edge they're trying to get off the table from? There was only one post I found when searching that said "No, they move away. If enemy comes into sight they would fire, then move away next turn." So I'm assuming this means if in line of sight they take an Active Fire action. Is this as a squad? What if some do not have line of sight, do they split into groups to get away and only the ones in line of sight fire?
Sorry so many questions! Just trying to get it right and making sure that I'm not making too many judgement calls for cases where rules exist.
Thanks in advance!
