Hi all!
I've always been very attracted by Chain Reaction's system but didn't take the plunge. So I decided to take advantage of confinement to try to master Rally Round the King for solo gaming. Certainly due to my imperfect english, I already encountered a few things that I don't clearly understand.
Could anybody help me with my initiation? /-D Thanks in advance.
First:
What is exactly SP (Specialty Points)? It can be seen in the each unit description, but it's not really explained what it is and when it applies... A bonus in Melee/Shooting? A reduction in cost points ?

Hello, Specialty Points are things a unit can do that makes it different than others (Page 11 under SP says shock +1, frenzy +1 etc.) The number next to it as in +1 is the point cost for that item that is in the Point Cost of the unit. See the Cost column in the army lists for the point cost of each unit. Hope this helps.

So, it's the exact bonus/malus' cost for this unit, but in fact already taken into account in its final cost in armies' lists. That's it? Is it just for us to know how you calculated costs or players have to use in any way those SP values?

Just to see how the points were figured out. Only used when building your armies. Hope this helps.

hello
I haven't played rrtk in a long time and I tried to get back into the habit by starting a campaign, but a question arose.
In spring, each army rolls to see if it has its own heroes and magicians, but how do mercenaries work? the automatic kingdoms roll on their own, but I don't know how the players act
I know that each player rolls 3d6 and the result determines who hires mercenaries first, but how many mercenaries are generated per year? one per player? only one a year and they are disputed?
Thanks.

hello
Here goes.

I know that each player rolls 3d6 and the result determines who hires mercenaries first, but how many mercenaries are generated per year? One new hire per only one a year and they are disputed? Easiest way is roll one up per player then hire them or skip. Then other players can hire them. If you had them the year before, just pay them to keep them. Hope this helps.
Thanks.

Yeah! Thank you!
I can start the campaign on my own, but I wanted to know how it was planned to be done.
Thanks Ed!

The flying creatures in RRTK are cavalry for movement purposes, it isn't? But what happens with dragons? (4Fig, 8AC, Fly)
Maximun movemente for a cavalry with 4Fig/6AC is 6"/3". It is that move for dragons?
Thanks for your time and attention.

Correct. Slow movers on the ground.
