Having had a go with 5150 Back Alley Bright Lights, I have turned to the second of my four games, 5150 Fighter Pilot. Spoiler: the campaign did not last very long. Second spoiler: lots of fun again. A short report on my blog: solostellarstories.blogspot.com/2020/04/5150-fighter-pilot-boardgame-game-01.htmlOnce again, a couple of queries after using the rules: Maneuver Table When on the Maneuver Table and you roll the same as the opponent, do you draw another chance card or just keep going on the table? I thought you shouldn't get another chance card but now reading it again I think you should get one, but I have confused myself too much! I am at 95% sure you draw another card :-) Heading Home Table 2d6 and 1d6 passed talks about having 2 or more Damage Points remaining. What are Damage Points? Damage Points are not defined but there are other references to damage (not Damage Points): Under confirmed Kill on p6 but there I assume Damage = Hull as 0 Hull destroys a fighter and using Star Power when taking damage.. If Damage Points is the sum of Thrust, Firepower and Hull most fighters will all make it back safely (as most would start with Damage Points of 9); if it is just Hull then light fighters are always in trouble as they mostly have a hull of 1. I looked at Aces High to see if that would help - it has the same table, but Damage Points are defined in those rules. There are no specific rules to select the race of the opposing side. Just an observation, not something missing! I went with selecting a random race for each campaign.

Great report, thank you. I'm waiting to receive the boardgame itself before giving the rules a go, but my plan is to approach things with toys similar to yours - Hot Wheels models for classic Battlestar Galactica. It's only the very rare Cylon pilot who will get a name, though. Can't wait!

Also on the Maneuver Table - draw a card before rolling.Heading Home Table 2d6 and 1d6 passed talks about having 2 or more Damage Points remaining. What are Damage Points? Could have been more clearer. There are no specific rules to select the race of the opposing side. Just an observation, not something missing! I went with selecting a random race for each campaign. Yep, up to the players. Plays quicker than most air/space combat games.

Thank you Ed. I was playing it all correct then (I assumed Damage Points were Hull). And yes, quite quick. One of the reasons I selected 5150 FP as one of my games is I assumed it would be quick :-)
