Just curious what if any are the main differences between the Final Ed and the 4th Ed?

No, big changes. Streamlined mechanics that give same results but with less dice rolling. Reaction tests are merged so less dice rolling, some things were dropped. Also a second RPG version where your sqauddies can have new missions and interactions. The changes came about as the players requested less dice rolling and more personal touch rules. Both are good, just depends how you want top play. Here's more info.

I initially started with 2nd edition and felt it was clunky especially with all the dice rolling and table reading. The 4th version is a streamlined masterpiece! Tables and rolls are condensed and the flow is so much better and after just a game or two you'll have everything mostly memorized except for maybe some of the PEF and enemy movement and action tables. The layout still has you flipping all over the place but print out some of the key pages and you'll be fine. It was a big improvement in my opinion and jumped it to my favorite ww2 rule set. With all the social distancing I've been getting a lot of Nuts and 5150 fighter command in these days!

I loved 2nd edition because I know THW since the beginning and I am used to it, but then I tried 4th edition, and like I said somewhere else, it's a must to update to the latest version, thought I'll stick to 2nd edition supplements like Blood upon the risers, the big hurt and Peiper at the gates as I already have them and can be adapted to 4th ed. Do not get me wrong, as I think those supplements need to be updated with the newest ruleset for those who hop on Nuts! for the first time.

Three of the supplements have been updated to 4th edition: Blood Upon the Risers and Peiper at the Gates have been released, and Stalingrad is pending formal release on THW (but is on Amazon). The other two are in progress.

I own the original scenario books as well as the 4thED and Compendium, can you give a brief description on the differences? Are there new scenarios or lists available?
Thanks! Brian

Brian No new sceanrios, just corrected page refenrences and rule updates to fit the ones found in 4th and Compendium. If you already have the originals they should work fine.

Ed, Will you be redoing the Eastern Front book as well, Clash of Titans? Man, that came out ten years ago. Time flies. I believe so, that's a question for Easy Eight as he's the author.
