Basics, Razors & Xeogs all share one thing in common - they are Humanoids.
It is easy to think of Razors as being a mashup of two sci-Fi tropes, the alien with psionic powers & the Cyberpunk razor girl. However, they are a little more complicated than that.
Razors are first introduced in 5150: Book One where they are primarily used by Hishen slavers. The Hishen communicate via a hive mind and the Razor's empathy abilities are often used to boost or amplify communications. It is unclear whether the Razors are slaves of the Hishen or independent agents, perhaps a bit of both.
Life on the fringe is different than life in the empires, whether Hishen or Gaean. On New Hope & other outlying planets, you can encounter Razors who either are not affiliated with Hisen or have taken leadership of Hishen Drones. Most Razors gravitate toward criminal occupations.
1. Only female Xeogs and Razors have ever been encountered.
2. Xeogs & Razors are humanoids, not Xenoforms.
3. Razors are very rarely encountered in groups consisting of just Razors - the largest Razor group on record is 3.
4. Blue Xeogs often work in teams of three.
5. Razors have a complex sensory system that is very fast. They have infrared vision, have the ability to cause fear in the minds of others.
6. Xeogs have enhanced bio systems & strength. Xeogs are fast. Xeogs are fearless. Blue Xeogs also tend to be vain divas.
7. Xeogs & Razors prefer not to wear armor (in fact many are in the "clothing optional" camp, if you know what I mean).
8. Razors will not use weapons other than their nails & mental blast except as a last resort. Xeogs love projectile weapons, especially large caliber loud ones, but are also skilled in fighting bare-handed.
9. Xeogs and Razors are both motivated by Profit.
10. Razors prefer to stay in the shadows while many Blue Xeogs love the limelight.
Nowhere in any 5150 book, does it specifically say Xeogs & Razors are bald! In my 5150 verse, Xeogs have hair! It may be store bought & sit on a shelf when not worn, but any female as vain as a Blue Xeog will have hair!
Also, in my interpretation of the 5150 verse, not all Blue Xeogs have actually gone rogue, some are covert agents gathering intelligence & carrying out black ops for the sisterhood.
