A while back, Ed posted a pdf of various armies for Fortunes Won and Lost. Unfortunately, my computer crashed last year and I lost it. Does anyone still have it?
Thanks.

Do you mean the lists from Colonail Lemuria & the Lost Lands? It's the only list file I have for Fortunes Won & Lost. And I have no idea how to link a PDF to a post.

I think it was a list of Lumerian armies to use in Fortunes.

One other question. Are these based on actual historical armies or are they completely fictional? No biggie, just curious.

They are fictional, but many are based on historical armies.
Alawar- Eastern India influenced by the state of Alwar which was a more advanced Indian state in the 19th century, after its defeat was pretty much ruled by the British East India Company.
Askari - Askari are presented as a nebulous race of outcasts in Colonial Lemuria. In reality, "Askari" was a common African word for soldier.
Chang Wang - Chinese during the Boxer rebellion.
Hill Tribes of Atlas - Resembles colonial Afghans, Pathans & Berbers.
Lung Ho - Chinese/Indonesian Pirates
Masai - Masai during colonial expansion facing British at one end of their lands & the Germans at the other.
Moros - The Moro wars, New Zealand
Nobelongaa - African tribes of the Congo Basin
Central Ottomans - Turks & Berbers
Southern Ottomans - Ansar, Beja & Berbers - Think British vs. Mahdists
Shambayla - Tibet
Sirdi - Probably borrowed name from Shirdi - Western India, Hindus, Moslims, & Sikhs
Vendya - Name probably borrowed from Vendhya, an Indian nation in the Conan novels. Northern India, think Kyber Pass..
Zulu - the Zulu of the 1879 Anglo-Zulu War.
The whole idea behind Colonial Lemuria was to develop a continent of iconic Colonial era combatants encountered throughout the 19th and early 20th centuries.

The Moros were fundamentalist Muslim insurgents in the Philippines, mostly on Mindanao.
The Maoris are the aboriginal peoples of New Zealand, of the Maori Wars (the guys who do the Haka and all that).

Arrgh! Brain fart. Moros were the Philippines. The Colonial Lemuria description of them as island people made me think of Maoris.

Okay after looking through the Fortunes rules while preparing for a game, I had a question.
I know you start with a number of PEFs equal to your Major Morale if you’re playing solo or same side, and a number of groups equal to your MM if you’re playing head to head. However, if you’re playing solo, do you only get 1 group or a number equal to your MM?

If you are playing the campaign solo, your first encounter is a Patrol Encounter. For the first Patrol Encounter, you start with only one group. After that, you can play with as many groups as your Major Morale allows. (Page 19)
Also, there's a small correction to the Next Encounter Table on page 20 if you don't have it, on the last three rows replace the word "Winner" with "Loser".
