Hello,
I'm preparing an upcoming play of the Blood Upon the Risers campaign and have a question on the Sniper and Artillery scenario rules. I will be playing with the Nuts! 4th edition rules.
The Sniper and Artillery scenario rules are listed on page 7 of the BotR supplement and refer to page 80 of the Nuts Compendium, which was written for the Final Version of Nuts. I's like to get some help understanding these scenario rules correctly:
Further questions:
Loving the whole setup of the campaign! Can't wait to start playing it.
- Both BotR scenario rules are played as random events, taken when odd doubles are rolled for activation (so 1's, 3's or 5's).
- When the number on the die is equal to or less than the enemy investment level, no new PEF is generated but a random event has occurred.
- Roll a d6 to determine if the event affects the attacker or defender.
- Roll a d6 to determine what kind of random event has happened: if a "1" is rolled on this last d6, a sniper will fire and if a "3" is rolled on this last d6, artillery will strike. All other results on this d6 do not generate a random event.
- Follow the rules as specified on page 80 for sniper and artillery.
Further questions:
- For the sniper, it specifies: roll for damage versus an Impact of 3. Roll for damage normally. Nuts V4 doesn't use Impact anymore, how is this to be interpreted for V4 rules?
- For the artillery strike infantry targets it specifies: roll 1d6 for each infantry target; a result of 1,2 or 3 means the target takes a crisis test, counting as outgunned. Crisis tests are not part of Nuts V4, how should this be played with those rules?
Loving the whole setup of the campaign! Can't wait to start playing it.
