Hunker down status and in LOS of the enemy, 4th Ed.

What should a figure in hunker down status and in LOS of the enemy do?

Coming from the previous turn, supose a figure in open field unable to seek cover and safety, he's in LOS of the enemy and no Leader is near. Now is his turn, but given he may not function until having passed a recover test, Can he moves to "Leave the battlefield" status in order to moves to the nearest table edge?


How does a figure in hunker down status react if fired on?
