I loved the post & figures. I've been a big fan of ERB's Barsoom series for years. Some friends don't like the series because Deja Thoris & other female characters are so weak & docile in the first few books. But as time went by ERB began to make the female characters stronger & not just trophies for the heroes.

Thank you all. Yep, Burroughs is a product of his time, with the kidnapped princess being his MacGuffin. I am a bit fonder of the later books where the heroine can hold her own, rather than just yelling "Oh, help!" Perhaps Bad Squiddo will give us Tavia with her "boyish" figure.
