I was inspired by the FNG rules to create travel tiles for Talomir Tales. In FNG there are 8 mini tiles that are split by a 3x3 grid to represent a full tabletop. You can use them to play a game that simulates having a terrain filled tabletop with minis. You just switch to the battle board for the action as each section (1 to 9) is to be considered a battleboard. Easy! I really like the idea as it brings the travelling part of the game to life in a cool way. All you need is a meeple to represent your band and some tokens for PEF’s. Like this... So here is my masterplan for 12 tiles for Talomir Tales. If you are sticking to a map you just use the tiles that make sense. If however you just want to wing it you can number them on the back and roll a D12 to procedurally generate your world! Of course, its not quite as simple as that. The rules need some minor adjustments but once I’ve made the tiles (and I will post them here) I will post how best to use them. Thoughts/criticisms are welcome.
