I get in 95th (pp. 29-30) that the active side can do one of 7 things (Shoot, Melee, Reload, etc.). But which one? Does the player just pick one? Which one do the NPC's choose?
Thanks.

Check page 48 where the Action Table is located. The active side does the actions in the order listed; shoot, charge, etc. Player and NPC as well. Hope this helps. Ed

Ed Are you saying the Star can’t choose how to direct his band?

You could if ALL of them are ordered to do the same thing as they are military. So: Fire. Reload. Charge.

I see. Yeah, that makes sense.

I see. Yeah, that makes sense. Now what can happen, like in real life, the lower rep guys may not reload as fast as the higher Rep guys.

All this time and I still need to update my understanding of the rules (sigh).

All this time and I still need to update my understanding of the rules (sigh). No worries,me too! I forgot that the difference in 95th from previous rules is there is no Reload Table - so that won't happen! Reload is automatic. In the older version you rolled 2d6 versus Rep. Pass 2d6 - Reload and fire. Pass 1d6 - Reloading and fire when next active. Pass 0d6 - Fumble, must try to reload when next active.

Personally I’m happy with the rules as they are. I wizzed thru the whole campaign and thats good going for me. I really took to the light system using the tokens provided. Anyone who hasn’t tried the tokens should give it a go. The way it speeds up the game is impressive.
