Hi,
I have played 2 games of Nuts! so far, however I am unclear about how to properly use the Reaction System:
Suppose I have 2 groups and it's my turn and I want to FIRE all members of this group: - I active my first group (highest rep), which consists of 1 NCO, 4 riflemen and 1 LMG team - I start by firing my LMG team at one or more targets
- The target(s) react - I now fire my first rifleman - The target(s) reacts - Etc. until no further actions and reactions for this group are possible - I know activate my second group (next highest rep)
- Etc.
Or?
- I active my first group (highest rep), which consists of 1 NCO, 4 riflemen and 1 LMG team - I fire ALL members of this group at the same time at one or more targets
- The target(s) react (but in what order? Or doesn't this matter?)
- Etc. until no further actions and reactions for this group are possible - I know activate my second group (next highest rep) - Etc.
I am having trouble finding a clear explanation of this action/reaction sequence in the book. Any clarification would be very much appreciated
Cheers, TwoTonic

Hi,
I have played 2 games of Nuts! so far, however I am unclear about how to properly use the Reaction System: Here goes.
Suppose I have 2 groups and it's my turn and I want to FIRE all members of this group: Unless it's a large group composed of two more smaller group, (See Large Groups in NUTS) each group acts individually. First off. If one group comes into sight of two or more groups EACH group rolls for In Sight. individually versus their Leader. As let's say A and B come into view of C. All roll to see who acts first. A could act first, then C then B.
Or?
- I active my first group (highest rep), which consists of 1 NCO, 4 riflemen and 1 LMG team - I fire ALL members of this group at the same time at one or more targets Right
- The target(s) react (but in what order? Or doesn't this matter?) Doesn't matter but easiest way is resolve casualties, then duck backs and return fires.
- Etc. until no further actions and reactions for this group are possible. They may have to react if they are fired back on. - I know activate my second group (next highest rep) - Etc. Correct.
I am having trouble finding a clear explanation of this action/reaction sequence in the book. Which edition? Hope this helps. Ed Any clarification would be very much appreciated

Hi Ed, Thanks for clearing that up. Just in time for our next game I.... we are using the latest (fourth) edition. Turns, In Sight and so forth is explained very well, but we were puzzled about in which order to handle actions (per member) within the active group. ... Well, all at once it is. Love the game system and thanks for your quick reply. Cheers, TwoTonic
