Here is a picture of an Egyptian gendarme platoon mounted 2 to a base with 2 mounted singly to aid with casualties. The platoons are identified by color blocks on the rear of the base. For instance, the Sudanese have a green block. The first platoon has a "1" in the center of the block and the second platoon a "2". Next is a picture of Bashi-Bazouks, mounted. And a full company of Sudanese infantry. Don't worry if your numbers don't exactly equal the prescribed numbers. The rules are not really number sensitive.
