So I'm just getting around to putting some paint on a Razor, a couple of Grath, and a handful of Hishen. Should these all be shades of blue? As an aside, my Razor is an Infinnity Tohaa Diplomatic Delegate, Grath #1 is Reaper Phat Clark, Grath #2 is Reaper Mutant Y, and the Hishen are an assortment of Black Cat Bases Tcho Tcho. Thanks for input.

I used a blue-gray for my Hishen, a medium gray for my Grath and a dark gray for a Razor: :

Atomicfloozy,
Thanks for the input. Always love your stuff, especially your story write ups.

Thanks, there is really no official color for Grath & Razors. The very first 5150 rule set - 5150 Book One, says Hishen are gray, but starting in 5150 New Beginnings, Hishen are said to be grayish blue.
I've seen Grath that are gray, blue, flesh colored and even pink. Razors, I've seen painted in various shades of gray, black and saw one done in a dark red.
The colors are really up to you.
THW isn't Games Workshop, there isn't a bunch of fan-boys and corporate lawyers telling you what color schemes & minis are valid for play.

I painted Hishen, Grath, and Razors, in both 28mm and 15mm for Ed in 2016, about the time I was play testing 5150: Star Army 2nd Tour and 5150: Star Marine for him. The 15mm minis were produced by Acheson Creations. The 28mm minis were produced by a number of different manufacturers. Ed allowed me to figure out color palette for the races of the Hishen Empire. I decided to keep it simple. I painted the figures with Reaper Miniatures Master Series Paints. Flesh on all races were painted with MSP Alien Flesh. Hishen jumpsuits were painted with MSP Marine Teal. Grath jumpsuits were painted with MSP Deep Red. Razor's clothing were painted with MSP Rainy Grey. Hishen and Grath foot wear painted with MSP Cloudy Grey. Weapons painted MSP Blackened Steel. All minis were given a wash of The Army Painter's Quickshade Strong Tone wash. Unfortunately, I don't any photos of the minis as I sold them to Ed. I do however have a 28mm Grath Mercenary I converted for use with 5150: No Limits from a Zombicide mini -

I like what I see from both of you, and the Grath flesh is surprisingly similar. It is also similar to what I was imagining before seeing either example. I think that my Hishen will be similar, but maybe leaning towards a greener tint. The Razor will be bluish. All of my gangers are haphazardly clothed, so I might just give them a variety of street gang coloring. I did like atomicfloozy's post on k-pop coloring rather than dark cyberpunk, but I'm just not sure I'm ready to commit to that.

When giving the Razor a bluish color, don't forget that Xeogs are also blue skinned, so you will want to use shades of blue to differentiate the two races. I tend to use a warmer blue for the Xeogs, something closer to a Turqoise since Xeogs are green before they turn blue.
Vallejo makes both a Green Grey and a Grey Green - the Green Grey definitely shows a predominate green tint.
Your choice of colors sounds great, you'll have to share pictures when they are finished.

Thank you for the reminder about the Xeogs. I remember that now that you mentioned it. I will post some pics as soon as I have a couple finished, but don't get your expectations too high. I look at the stuff I see on here and you guys are pretty universally amazing.

I used Gears of War boxed game to build my aliens. This would be a Hishen team or squad. 1 Razor (top left), 1 Grath (top right), 3 Hishen warriors, the one in the middle specialist with a stun cannon to get prisoners alive, 2 uncompleted Hishen warriors used as trackers or shepherds, and 2 "hounds" to chase fugitives. The game gives you enough figures to build three squads.

Good choice of figures. And I like the way the red ties them together. I'm seeing a good selection of skin tones that are similar, but with enough variation. Really appreciate the input and I will soon be putting paint to my 5150 population. Thanks .

Hadn't heard of the Gears of War figures. Excellent choice and great painting! Cheers mate. I think the Grath matches it perfectly. BTW the figures are soft plastic like those from Zombicide or Reaper's Bones.
