A squadron of cavalry is represented as three figures each capable of absorbing 2 hits - when they are dismounted, are they a 3 figure unit and each figure takes 2 hits?
A somewhat related question, in the Seven Years War, Carabiniers and mounted Jagers were essentially just mounted infantry, in fact some of them were darned good infantry. Would it acceptable to rate them as Rep 3 when mounted and as Rep 4 when dismounted?
One last related question, in the scenario I'm constructing based on the actual engagement at Hoya, I have the GOC commanding a battalion and a half of infantry, a brigadier commanding two and a half battalions of infantry, 4 guns and 5 squadrons of mixed cavalry (Dragoons, hussars, Carabiniers and mounted Jagers) - would it be best to have another brigadier just to command the cavalry?
Thanks.
