The rules that are listed are old school mechanics and could use updating if there's any interest. Choose up to 2.

Didn’t LtL just get an update though? My greedy choices are Mission St Mary and High Moon. I’d also go with Fortunes won and lost but I’m not sure how those rules could be updated.

I'm trying to stuff the ballot box with more votes for Colonial Adventures, but the system will only let me vote once. Could you add another 20 or 30 votes for Colonial Adventures, please? Lol

My other choice, first being Rum, is Future Tales.

Ooh. Yes I only used one of my votes a 4th edition of Larger than Life (the more pulp the better) but I would've given both votes to Future Tales if I could.

Glad to see there’s still a lot of interest in Future Tales. Tbh, I’ve been wanting to update the rules for FT since it came out. However I feel like a lot of what I’ve wanted to put in the game have shown up in 5150, including space battles and robots. Other than the story, I’m not sure what I could do to make it different, but I’d love to do something with it.

Future Tales from me too. @shon Maxx I see your comment about a lot is in 5150 but I still think there is a place in the THW stable for a specific ruleset that is pulp SF that is based off LTL.

Playing Future Tales feels very different than 5150 NB/Fringe Space/No Limits and it has nothing to do with the combat mechanics. Partly that can be felt with the encounters (or story as you put it) but also the world building - the game world of Future Tales is much more easily adapted to other SciFi settings than 5150 is. I also like how world/location generation works in Future Tales more than 5150 Known Space. The environment feel more true to science fantasy sci-fi then the heavier cyberpunk themes of 5150. (I like my cyberpunk, I just also like to have some dials on those setting themes.) True - robots are pretty similar (partly my fault because I asked Ed to port the Future Tales robot rules into 5150, heh) but aliens work very differently. I feel like Future Tales gives me an alien toolkit and I create the aliens I need for my setting where as with 5150 it is ... a lot more work to decouple all of the built-in 5150 species from the various encounter tables.

Thanks! I’ve got plenty of ideas that I could use. If Ed gives me the green light, I’ll look into it.

I also feel that Long Rifle would make a great quick-play game (that is the smaller scale version, isn’t it? I get confused between LR and M&M).
