I've recently come across Muskets and Shakos. I have Morale Napoleon. How do the two rules differ and is one an update over another?

Two separate but complimentary rules. Morale Napoleon for large scale fights. Battalions are up to 20 figures in M&S so more hands on unit fighting mechanics. The bridge between 95th and Morale Napoleon.

In Morale Napoleon, your basic unit is a brigade, whereas in Muskets & Shakos, your basic unit is a battalion of 24 figures.
With Morale Napoleon, you can play the entire battle of Waterloo, while with Muskets & Shakos would cover just the action at the La Haye Sainte farm.
Hope this makes sense, in Morale Napoleon, you command an army or corps - Muskets & Shakos you command a brigade or a single battalion.
